A dominating pedigree for the Hereford showring, Refresh was 2nd behind the grand boar at the 2016 National Hereford Show and he was Grand Champion Hereford boar at the Illinois State Fair. His Littermate gilt was the $3200 Champion gilt in the Jr and Open show at the National Hereford Show and Reserve Grand Champion Hereford gilt at the Illinois State Fair, and another Littermate Boar was Reserve Grand Champion Hereford boar at the CPS summer type conference that was sold to Joshua Horton. His Mother is a littermate to Red Sox at A Cut Above. I could almost stop here in my notes.
This guy is bold and stout featured throughout with tremendous bone and foot size. He has tremendous muscle shape and mass throughout, is deep sided, bold through his rib, and is genuine in his build and look with great mobility. He looks like a herd boar and we think he has all the potential to be a great sire for making better hereford show pigs!
